Lions in the Community !
Surrey Lions' star midfielder Jagdish Singh Gill, who also plays for the Canadian National Team, posing at the 'SAY NO TO DRUGS'  programme at the PANAM Games 2011.
Some pictures of the Surrey Field Hockey Club members at the Annual Vaisakhi Celebrations Parades in Surrey. Every year, members of the club set up a stall and distribute sweets and food to the vast sea of of people at the Parades. This is also a good time for the Lions to interact with members of the community. Click on the picture above to see the whole album.
Quite a few of our Surrey Lions'
players are registered with the
local Blood Bank clinics and donate
blood on a regular basis. Our
players like Gurinder Singh Hundal
donate blood every three months
and do their part in saving lives.
We urge our members to register
with Canadian Blood Services and help save
lives. Club members also donate financially to
various charities in Canada. These are just
some of the ways in which member of our club
do their part in giving back to the communities
they belong to. Some have even carried out
charitable acts in other countries where the need for charitable acts is higher. We salute our donors.
