The word " PRIDE " was first applied to a group or family of Lions in the year 1486.
Even with a membership of over 150 playing and non-playing members, we, at Surrey Field Hockey Club, consider ourselves to be the members of a small family. With our team being called the Surrey Lions, it was only natural that the family itself should be known as
" The PRIDE ".
Pride can also be described as a feeling of courage, spiritual strength, honour, self-respect and a sense of one's personal worth. Needless to say, all of our members embody these ideals in them. The entire membership is very passionate about the game and every individual strives to work together as a " TEAM ".
It is this concept of "ONE TEAM ", that has led to the huge success of the Surrey Field Hockey Club and Surrey Lions, making it one of the top clubs in North America, that too in such a short span of time!
Below is a list of our Pride members, and each one of the names listed below brings his very own experiences, wisdom, positivity and above all, growth to the Surrey Field Hockey Club ! We are just as proud of our membership as they themselves are of the club.
